Third All-Inclusive Playground Opens At Eno’s Pond County Park

A new all-inclusive playground at Eno’s Pond County Park, the third of its kind in the county park system, was officially opened, and Ocean County authorities came to celebrate.

Among those present at the June 26 celebration were Councilwoman Peggy Sue Juliano, Mayor Peter Curatolo of Lacey Township, and Ocean County Commissioner Jennifier Bacchione. As the heatwave eventually eased, officials thanked the weather for allowing the ceremony to take place outside.

Lacey Township, the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, the county Department of Human Services, and the Ocean County Shade Tree Commission worked together to fund the project, which was made possible by funding from the Jake’s Law grant, a New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Green Acres program that aims to build accessible playgrounds for kids of all abilities.

According to Bacchione, this is a place where all kids and their families can congregate and play without any restrictions.

The team from Ocean County Parks & Recreation received recognition for their contribution to the project’s successful completion. The new playground will be a friendly gathering place for neighborhood families for many years to come, according to county authorities.
