If you’re single and you love Disney, you might just have the opportunity to find your happily ever after.
One of the app’s founders, @JoeTheBeardedNerd on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube,
introduced the concept of the app on TikTok
recently and persuaded Disney fans to get involved.
Here’s what you need to know about how the idea for the app came about, its features and when the app is going to be released.
What is ‘Single Riders’?
According to Joe’s video on TikTok
, “Single Riders” is an app designed for single people who share an interest in Disney theme parks or any theme parks for that matter.
The dating app is being developed with two options: a romantic option and a friendship option.
It is going to be
available for iOS and Android
along with a web-based app across the U.S. at first in English.
The “Single Riders” creators also plan to expand its use to other theme parks, including Universal Parks in Orlando and California, Kings Island in Ohio, Knott’s Berry Farm in California and Six Flags parks nationwide.
Also, Joe has asked early fans to request features they would like to see in the app and submit them in the comments of the
“Single Riders” TikTok posts
.
Self-proclaimed Disney adult Joe often frequents the parks and decided to create the app after being stood up on a date.
“I did what any other Orlando local does, and I went to Disney,” Joe said,
according to ABC 7
. “I realized we needed a Disney dating app.”
When will the ‘Single Riders’ app be released?
The “Single Riders” app is expected to be released in a beta version later this year or early next year, according to the app’s creators.
However, sign ups for the beta version and email updates will be available soon because of the early excitement about the app,
according to Joe
