There’s a new Big Brother 27 house guest in charge.
There will be Big Brother spoilers for the Sunday, July 27th show. If you don’t want to read spoilers about the live feed, stop reading.
Following Amy Bingham’s unanimous eviction on Thursday, July 24, Jimmy Heagerty’s tenure as Head of Household came to an official end. Lauren Domingue was crowned the new HoH later that evening.
A HoH victory would compel Lauren, who is presently playing the middle, to reveal some of her cards. Will she draw a line in the sand and target a major threat like returning player Rachel Reilly, or will she play it safe and choose a house target like Keanu Soto?
Lauren stated in the Diary Room during Thursday’s episode, “I feel like there are sort of two definitive sides that are forming at this point, and I am somewhere in between.” Jimmy and the girls’ side are both present, and I get the impression that everyone is somewhat united, particularly when it comes to voting. Although they aren’t necessarily united, I’m happy with my connections with practically all of the males [including] Kelley [Jorgensen].
Although it’s not a particularly strong alliance, Lauren is officially part of The Bond, which also includes Adrian Rocha, Ava Pearl, Vince Panaro, Will Williams, and Zach Cornell. Lauren is even thinking about using one of the members as a pawn. That would follow the pattern of HoHs selecting those they collaborate with, like Jimmy did with Amy and Vince did with Kelley, this season.
Katherine Woodman, who is even more of a free agent in the game and has no connections to speak of, is also close to Lauren.
Even though Jimmy removed Keanu’s Mystery Competitor power and Kelley’s extra Veto from the game last week, there is still one more power left. Mickey Lee has the ability to covertly topple a HoH rule. If the HoH is able to identify the houseguest responsible for the coup, they will be able to keep their position of authority.
It’s unlikely that Mickey will use her third power this week because practically everyone in the house believes she does. But in the Big Brother house, anything can happen.
