In March 1998, Amy Bradley vanished on the Royal Caribbean cruise liner Rhapsody of the Seas, which is still in operation today.
The 915-foot vessel set sail for the first time in May 1997, less than a year before Amy disappeared while on a cruise with her family, according to the Royal Caribbean website.
Rejuvenated in 2012, the Rhapsody of the Seas can accommodate 2,416 guests and continues to cruise today. Currently, the ship departs from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Tampa, Florida.Mexico, Belize, Honduras, the Cayman Islands, St. Thomas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Maarten, Antigua, Barbados, Aruba, Bonaire, St. Lucia, and Cura ao are all destinations on upcoming Rhapsody of the Seas itineraries.
Amy disappeared on 24 March 1998. As the Rhapsody of the Seas approached the pier at Cura ao, her family became aware of her disappearance. The last family member to see Amy alive was her father, Ron Bradley. Around 5:30 a.m., he noticed her dozing off on the family’s cabin balcony. About thirty minutes later, he awoke once more, but Amy was not there.
In Cura ao, the Bradleys requested that cruise ship staff hold off on releasing passengers until Amy was located, but they didn’t. It was challenging to ascertain whether Amy fell or jumped off the boat, walked off with the other guests, or was the victim of foul play because other visitors were able to depart the ship before the search for her was carried out.
Not everyone agrees with Kirk Detweiler, the cruise director of Rhapsody of the Seas when Amy was on board, who believes Amy leaped or fell. Alistir Douglas, a bassist on cruise ships, is suspected of having some sort of involvement. Not even Amica Douglas, his daughter, believes he is innocent.

Amica appeared in the July 16 premiere of the Netflix documentary Amy Bradley Is Missing. She remembered that when Alistir came home from Amy’s cruise, he acted strangely and had a bag full of images of white ladies, according to her mother. Although he has strongly denied any role in Amy’s abduction, Alistir was spotted dancing with her the night before she vanished.
Amy may have been the victim of sex trafficking, according to another idea. Following her disappearance, a number of people report seeing her alive, including on a prostitution website, Cura ao, and Barbados.
Amy would be 53 years old today if she were still living. Her brother Brad, mother Iva, and father all took part in Amy Bradley Is Missing and are currently looking for information regarding Amy’s whereabouts.
