Yogurt brand sold at Walmart recalled due to foreign contamination: Is your yogurt affected?

Published On:

You may want to check your refrigerator if you recently purchased a particular kind of yogurt from Walmart.

Because of plastic fragments found in the topping dome, YoCrunch is recalling some of its yogurt flavors across the country.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall in response to many consumer complaints of plastic fragments discovered in the topping dome.

According to the FDA, there is a danger of harm or choking from these plastic fragments.

Here are some additional details regarding the recall.

What YoCrunch brands are part of the recall?

According to the FDA, the following brands are included in the recall: Vanilla with M&Ms, Vanilla with Oreo, Strawberry with Granola, and several variety packs.

Only the yogurt topper is recalled; the yogurt itself is unaffected.

The impacted yogurt has an expiration date of July 7–September 4.

According to the FDA, the translucent plastic pieces may have sharp edges and pose a risk to consumers because some of them are between 7 and 25 millimeters long.

Here is a complete list of all the YoCrunch products that are part of the receipt, along with their lot numbers and expiration dates.

What should consumers do if they have the recalled YoCrunch yogurt?

Customers who bought any of the recalled goods should discard the yogurt or send it back to the retailer for a complete refund.

Contact the YoCrunch Consumer Care Line at 1-877-344-4886, which is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST, if you have any questions concerning the recall.
