TRENTON — The station announced that longtime personality Judi Franco and radio veteran Eric EJ Johnson will co-host a new midday show on New Jersey 101.5 (WKXW-FM).
The Judi & EJ Show will premiere on Monday, August 4 and run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays. Prior to assuming managerial and on-air positions at Philadelphia stations 102.9 WMGK and 97.5 The Fanatic, Johnson was the station’s program director for almost 20 years, from 1999 to 2017.
Dennis Malloy retired from the station on July 31 after 32 years of service, and Johnson’s comeback comes after his retirement.
According to Johnson, returning to New Jersey 101.5 is like coming home. It’s a privilege to participate once more, and I’m even more thrilled to work with Judi Franco, who is as witty, bold, and humorous as they come.
Townsquare Media’s regional vice president, Brian Lang, praised Johnson’s established friendship and on-air chemistry as reasons why he was the ideal candidate to join Franco.
According to the station, the new program would provide a vibrant blend of news, commentary, and unusual discussions.
