According to a fire official, Allentown firefighters moved swiftly to put out a fire at a city residence on Sunday afternoon.
Flames broke out at the residence in the 500 block of North 11th Street shortly after 12:30 p.m., according to city fire chief Efrain Agosto, who spoke to lehighvalleylive.com.
According to the fire chief, crews started putting out fires in a sizable garage behind the house before moving on to the rear of the three-story building.
Whether anyone was inside when the fire started is unknown. No injuries were recorded.
Crews stayed at the scene for around two hours to put out hot spots after the flames were swiftly put out, according to Agosto.
The home’s back has significant damage, and the garage looks to have been completely destroyed, according to photos.
According to Agosto, city fire officials are still investigating the cause of the incident.
The family hasn’t requested help, according to Nicole Roschella, regional communications director for the American Red Cross Greater Pennsylvania Region, as of early Monday afternoon.
