Tech titans Ariana Huffington, Steve Wozniak coming to Lehigh University to talk AI ethics

Published On:

In the upcoming months, two significant technological trailblazers will visit the Bethlehem campus of Lehigh University as part of the Compelling Perspectives program.

During the 2025–2026 series AI at a Crossroads, they will both examine the moral ramifications of AI.

The series will begin on September 23 with Arianna Huffington, founder of The Huffington Post and Thrive Global, and end on January 29, 2026, with Steve Wozniakon, co-founder of Apple. These gatherings will look at how society might deal with the benefits and difficulties brought about by the quick development of AI technologies.

According to program materials, this year’s topic centers on the quick development of AI and what lies ahead in a world driven by AI. While addressing the difficulties that occur when business and advancement outpace ethical and policy issues, discussions will look at the opportunities AI offers.

The goal of Lehigh President Joseph J. Helble’s Compelling Perspectives series, which is currently in its third year, is to establish a venue for civil discussion on important societal issues.

As the creator and CEO of Thrive Global, a behavior change technology business aimed at enhancing productivity and health outcomes, Huffington contributes her perspective. In addition, she launched The Huffington Post and is the author of fifteen books.

In 1976, Wozniak and Steve Jobs co-founded Apple Computer Inc. Wozniak is a philanthropist, technology entrepreneur, and Silicon Valley legend. He contributed to the beginning of the personal computer industry by designing Apple’s initial product range.

For Huffington’s September appearance, registration is now available; Wozniak’s January event registration will be revealed later. All Compelling Perspectives presentations need registration in advance, and recording devices are not allowed during sessions.
