Trader Joe’s canvas mini totes are getting Halloween-coded for fall — here’s everything we know so far

Published On:

Trader Joe’s alleged little Halloween bags have been the subject of whispers—or rather, screams—if you’ve been on TikTok recently.

Fan service is nothing new to the well-known supermarket chain, and as fall approaches, TJ customers are already preparing for what may be one of the most anticipated arrivals of the sweater weather season.

The new micro totes, which are roughly 13 inches long, 11 inches tall, and 6 inches wide, seem to be made of sturdy cotton canvas, according to a teaser image and videos that are making the rounds online.

Their style tends to be brash and joyous. Three distinct color options are available: a multi-hued version, an electric purple tote, a brilliant orange tote, and a pure black tote. Each of the solids—the black body, purple bottom, neon green handles, and orange embroidery of the Trader Joe’s logo—provides a color cue for the multicolored tote.

Although Trader Joe’s hasn’t formally announced the debut date, previous seasonal releases indicate that these little totes might be available by early September, right in time for back-to-school celebrations, Halloween decoration weekends, and other fall activities. Consider fall craft fairs, hayrides, and apple and pumpkin picking.

If past trends continue, these bags should cost about $3, which is a reasonable price that just makes them more collectible.

Fans waited in line to get every hue of the spring micro tote release, which featured embroidered logos and soft pastels. It’s safe to assume that these new totes will take off like black-winged bats and fly off the shelves just as quickly, especially since TikTok talk is beginning to pick up steam and the Halloween sneak peek features a bolder, more themed design.

Keep an eye on things. The ultimate (trick-or-treat) is about to happen with these tiny Halloween totes.
