Taylor Swift is correcting people on how her Easter eggs work.
Swift loves to give tiny clues about the next era she’s about to enter; if you’ve been a Swiftie for a long time, you’ll know that she does it years in advance.
When it comes to creating them, she really is a mastermind.
However, she clarified where Swifties should truly be searching for Easter eggs on her most recent podcast appearance on New Heights, which is hosted by boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce.
She said, “I have parameters.” Dos and don’ts exist. I don’t do Easter eggs that have anything to do with my private life. You’ll look back and exclaim, “Oh my god,” even though you don’t understand why I’m saying it in relation to my music.
When fans were searching for hints about her next musical and artistic endeavors, she said on the show that things were becoming a little Zodiac Killer.
Swift then used her 2022 NYU honorary doctorate speech as an example of her favorite Easter egg.
I included so many lyrical easter eggs in that speech that the fans thought the entire speech was an easter egg when the Midnights album was released later. And since they enjoy it, I find that to be a lot of fun. I find a lot of pleasure with things like numerology, algebra, and dates.
Fans can instantly listen to the Eras Tour ending song for a more current example of an Easter egg teasing Taylor Swift’s latest era for The Life of a Showgirl.
An orange door appears in the rear of the screen as Swift performs Karma, the last song on that setlist. The door’s purpose was unknown to fans at the time, but it is now evident that it was for the impending album.
She used it to signal the start of a completely new era.
Taylor Swift announced the Last Show Girl’s cover, set list, and release date on August 13. The album is scheduled for release on October 3. Her record and other items are currently available for preorder on her website.
