Greetings, Miss Manners I have a cordial working relationship with a woman I work with. We frequently gather together for shared meals, such happy hours with appetisers or office lunches.
Although she follows a no-carb diet, she is very polite and welcomes people to bring or purchase everything they want, stating she’ll make it work.
My concern is that instead of taking a piece of pizza and arranging it on her own plate, she will use the shared dish to make the necessary meal modifications, such only eating the cheese from a pizza. The serving platter still has the crust carcass on it.
Is this odd? Can you convince her to do pizza surgery on her own plate in a courteous manner?
PERSONAL READER: Why don’t you take your turn first, Taylor?
