Greetings, Abby My neighbor lives two doors down the street from me. They own five vehicles. There are four cars parked on the road. Even though our house isn’t across the street from theirs, someone parks in front of it all the time. There is never anyone on the street across from their house.
With courteously phrased notes on the windshield, I have graciously requested that they DO NOT park in front of our property. I don’t think it’s a neighborly thing to do, even though it’s a public street. Was it improper of me to ask that they cease this practice? — California territorial
Greetings, Territorial You had every right to express your displeasure and request that they quit parking their automobile in front of your property. I also concur that it was not neighborly of them to keep doing this after you requested them to stop. That being said, there is nothing you can do to make them stop unless they are breaking local parking laws. Apologies.
