Lehigh County crash: 20-year-old pinned between SUV and home after vehicle rolls, cops say

According to authorities, a 20-year-old driver was wedged between her SUV and a house during a collision in Lehigh County on Sunday before being freed.

The collision occurred in the 1500 block of Broadway shortly after 3:30 p.m., according to Salisbury Township Police Sgt. Bryan S. Losagio. According to him, investigators discovered that the SUV had collided with a house.

According to authorities, the victim was discovered wedged between her 2012 Dodge Durango and the house.

The victim was successfully freed by crews from Salisbury Township Emergency Medical Services and the Eastern Salisbury Township Fire Department. She suffered severe injuries and was sent to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill.

On Tuesday morning, a condition was not immediately known.

According to Losagio, the collision started when the Dodge broke down on Broadway. The SUV then started rolling backward, toward the house, after the driver got out, he claimed.

According to Losagio, the woman was pinned while running and trying to get back into the SUV to stop it.

According to investigators, the SUV also collided with an above-ground gas pipe or meter at the residence.
