Bang Bang Hibachi Grill & Sushi closed after car crashes into building, owner says

A popular hibachi grill and sushi restaurant had to temporarily close after an accident at a Lower Macungie commercial building last week.

The owners of Bang Bang Hibachi Grill & Sushi, which is situated in Suite 225 at 6900 Hamilton Blvd., announced on their Facebook page that the restaurant is closed for repairs.The posting was posted shortly after the tragedy on Tuesday.

For pickup orders, the owners referred customers to the restaurant’s other location at Allentown’s Parkway Center, 1519 Lehigh St. A third site of Bang Bang Hibachi Grill & Sushi can be found in Quakertown, Bucks County, at Quakertown Plaza, 1465 W. Broad St.

69 WFMZ news reportsAt 1241 Airport Road in Allentown, a fourth location is currently being built. The location, which was formerly the New Dragon Palace Chinese restaurant, is expected to open by late summer next to Redner’s Markets.

According to state police, the collision also momentarily closed the JEI Learning Center.

The accident occurred just after 8 a.m. on Tuesday, according to Trooper Nathan Branosky, public information officer with Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, who spoke to lehighvalleylive.com.

According to Branosky, a 68-year-old Lower Macungie resident was driving a 2016 BMW X3 in the parking lot when she lost control and collided with Suite 230 of the learning center building.

Neighboring Suite 235 was also damaged in the disaster. Branosky had stated that the building was empty when the disaster occurred.

According to state police, the woman received on-scene treatment for minor wounds.

With the help of the Lower Macungie Township Fire Department, the Pennsylvania State Police Patrol Unit in Fogelsville is investigating this collision.
