Kenneth Washington, a former member of Hogan’s Heroes, passed away at the age of 88.

Variety was the first to report that Washington had passed away on Friday, July 18. It was not disclosed what killed him.

The actor’s most well-known performance came in season 6 of Hogan’s Heroes as U.S. Sergeant Richard Baker. The sitcom ran on CBS from 1965 to 1971 and was set in a World War II prisoner-of-war camp in Germany. Following the departure of Ivan Dixon (Staff Sergeant James Kinch Kinchloe) from Hogan’s Heroes, Washington became a series regular.

Carter), Werner Klemperer (Colonel Wilhelm Klink), and Bob Crane (Colonel Robert E. Hogan) were among his previous co-stars. The most recent to pass away, aside from Washington, is Clary. At age 96, he passed away in November 2022.

Washington is also well-known for his role as Officer Miller in the 1968–1975 NBC crime drama Adam-12. In 1989, he made his final on-screen appearance on an episode of The Cosby Showspinoff A Different World.

Alice Marshall, Washington’s wife and the former chief editor of Wave Newspapers in South Los Angeles, is his surviving spouse. In 2001, the couple were married. Washington’s first wife, Alyce Hawkins, and his three children, Quianna Stokes-Washington, Kenneth Washington Jr., and Kim Lee, also survive him.
