An update has been released regarding the casting process for the Harry Potter television series.
Four of the Weasley children were just cast in the next program. The four young actors who will play Ron Weasley’s (Alastair Stout) siblings were announced by HBO on Tuesday, August 19. They are Gracie Cochrane as Ginny Weasley, Ruari Spooner as Percy, Gabriel Harland as George, and Tristan Harland as Fred.

It’s almost full in the Burrow…. The remark, which made light of Charlie Weasley’s non-appearance in the Harry Potter film series, said, “Charlie is currently in Romania but will be joining us soon enough.”
Bill Weasley, the seventh Weasley sibling, only made appearances in the final two Harry Potter movies. The part was played by Domhnall Gleeson. Rupert Grint (Ron), James Phelps (Fred), Oliver Phelps (George), Chris Rankin (Percy), and Bonnie Wright (Ginny) were the original actors that portrayed the other Weasley siblings.

All of the Wealseys in the current generation are relatively new to the television and movie industries. Cochrane portrayed an unnamed girl in the 2024 movie Blitz, while Tristan and Gabriel previously starred in the 2020 BBC Two series The Last Kingdom.
In the 2024–2025 U.K. national tour of the musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Cochrane also performed as Jemima Potts.

Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter), Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger), John Lithgow (Albus Dumbledore), Janet McTeer (Minerva McGonagall), Paapa Essiedu (Severus Snape), Katherine Parkinson (Molly Weasley), Johnny Flynn (Lucius Malfoy), Lox Pratt (Draco Malfoy), Bel Powley (Petunia Dursley), and Vernon Dursley (Richard Griffiths) will be joining the Weasley siblings.
In 2027, the Harry Potter series will make its HBO debut.
