Poconos: 2-bus collision on I-380 sends 3 to hospital with serious injuries

Two busses collided Saturday along Interstate 380 in the Poconos, critically injuring three individuals, according to state police.

The State Police of PennsylvaniaAccording to Troop N’s public relations officer, Trooper Anthony Petroski III, the collision was first reported shortly before nine in the morning. It took place in Coolbaugh Township near mile marker 10.1 in the southbound lanes of the highway.

A school bus that had been turned into a private vehicle collided with a tour-style bus. According to Petroski, at the time of impact, the school bus had three passengers and the tour bus had forty.

On both buses, every person was an adult. None of the people on the tour-style bus were hurt. According to Petroski, all three of the passengers on the school bus suffered injuries.

According to a news release from the Stroudsburg state police, the collision resulted in multiple significant injuries. This inquiry is still ongoing, and new material will be made public so as not to compromise its integrity.

State police’s Troop N Accident Reconstruction Unit, Forensics Services Unit, and many fire and emergency medical services units arrived on the scene.
