Slate Belt man convicted of 50 felony counts for child sexual abuse material

On Thursday, Aslate Beltman was found guilty of almost fifty felonies related to his possession of material pertaining to child sexual abuse.

Ricky M. Raisner, 67, of Upper Mount Bethel Township’s 1000 block of Potomac Street, was convicted of 50 felony charges of child sexual assault and one felony count of unlawful use of a communication facility.

The decision came after a Northampton County jury trial. As he awaits sentence on December 17, Raisner’s bail has subsequently been revoked.

The conviction was made public on Friday by Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday. Raisner’s lawyer, Matthew John Goodrich, of Bethlehem, was not immediately available for comment.

Sunday stated in a statement that having these pornographic materials is by no means a victimless crime because every time they are viewed, the child they portray is further exploited and victimized. Our Child Predator Section is dedicated to vigorously pursuing criminals who watch, gather, and distribute content related to child sexual abuse.

An IP address on Raisner’s home computer was traced by the Child Predator Section of the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General in March 2024, according to authorities.

Agents secured a search warrant on the Slate Belt site, which led to a raid. According to the AG’s Office, investigators then confiscated gadgets from the house that included content related to child sex abuse.

According to court documents, Raisner was charged in October 2024. Michelle Laucella, Senior Deputy Attorney General, prosecuted the case.
