One of the most Disney-obsessed states in the US may be New Jersey.
A survey conducted last year found that, with an average of 3.44 visits over the previous five years, residents of New Jersey were in third place for overall Disney park visits.
In terms of Disney recognition, the Garden State is at last receiving its due. For example, visitors to Disney parks have a week known as Jersey Week.
What is Jersey Week?
Although there isn’t a formal holiday in Disney World to honor us Jerseyans, many New Jerseyans visit the theme park during Jersey Week.
There are Facebook sites, Disney blogs, and Reddit threads about Jersey Week. Indeed, numerous Disney blogs advise against visiting the park during Jersey Week. However, what is it?
It’s easy: Many students take advantage of Jersey Week to visit Disney after school.
Some more responsible parents wait until their children are on break instead of dragging them out of school to visit Disney World, as my parents did in the 1990s. However, Orlando’s summer temperatures can reach the 100s with 100% humidity. Therefore, a lot of parents choose to take a vacation during the school year when their kids have breaks.
It’s early November in New Jersey. During the New Jersey Education Association, Jersey Week takes place. During NJEA, teachers travel to Atlantic City for a significant convention while students are off.
When is Jersey Week 2025?
This year’s N.J.EA convention is scheduled for November 6-7, 2025.Many families in New Jersey will take advantage of the fact that schools are closed on both days and make reservations for the four-day weekend. Additionally, pupils are free from school on Veterans Day (November 11), which coincides with this convention.
Accordingly, Jersey Week 2025 falls between November 5 and November 12, with a high volume of visitors anticipated between November 6 and November 11.

Disney World is bustling during the holidays! Disney World’s Christmas overlay takes place in November as well, with holiday activities starting the first week of the month. Numerous after-hours activities that need tickets attract sizable crowds.
Beginning on November 7, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will take place. On November 10 and 11, there will be two additional events held throughout Jersey Week.On November 8, Disney Jollywood Nights will start the following day.
Additionally, the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival ends in November. On November 22, 2025, the gastronomic journey comes to a conclusion. Fortunately for visitors during Jersey Week, the associated RunDisney event does not occur in November. October 23–26, 2025 is the date of the sold-out Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.
The Disney Tourist Blog claims that the filming of Disney-ABC holiday specials in the parks coincides with Jersey Week. Thus, there may be large crowds!
